Wolfs Shouldn't Be Getting A Bad Rap

The wolf is the sole ancestor of dogs. We domesticated the wolf so we could have, now called, dogs, as pets.

To me the wolf is a beautiful animal, especially the grey wolf. I bought a sweatshirt many, many years ago from somewhere that has a picture of a grey wolf on it. It is beautifully done and I have had more compliments on that sweatshirt than anything else. So it may seem that I am not the only one that respects the wolf.

I understand that some believe in killing every wolf that lives because of sport or to save their livestock. Surely there is a more humane avenue that we all could take and live together. Just my thinking.

I learned a lot about wolfs that I didn't know by watching this video. Hope you do also.

Sure It Fits

I can remember when my cat use to love playing in boxes and such. Yes, even if she didn't fit into them so well. The thought process she use to go through didn't seem to deter her from at least trying.

It's hilarious watching a cat or any animal trying to maneuver itself into something that is so small you wonder what that animal could possibly be thinking.

Hope you enjoy and get a good laugh from this one: If It Fits, I Sits.

Don't believe I could even begin to fit into something that much smaller than myself. Size just doesn't seen to derail these animals from at least trying.

I do believe that there is a lesson about life to be learned here...

Hope you enjoyed. If so how about leaving a comment. Oh heck, even if you didn't enjoy the video, you are welcome to leave a comment.

The Magnificent Clydesdale

Years ago I had the pleasure of being able to see and stand beside a Clydesdale horse. While enjoying my visit to the Oklahoma State Fair I found out that the Budweiser Clydesdale team was there. I just had to find them and by searching the fair grounds I finally found them.

After being allowed to walk into the barn where the horses were staying I became like a little kid in a candy store. So excited and at the same time in awe of this great animal. All I could do was smile and thank God for this experience.

Walking up to one of them in the barn I suddenly began to feel smaller than I was; I weighed less than 100 pounds and stood about 5' 3". Tiny in comparison to a Clydesdale. The top of my head was barely level with it's belly. It glanced at me as if to say "Hi, little lady" and it lowered it's head so I could rub it. I was beside myself with joy.

If you ever have the chance to meet a Clydesdale face to face, please don't pass it up.

Thanks to the Budweiser Company for having a team at the OK State Fair that year. I will never forget that experience.

Did you know that the Clydesdale horse is not always brown or bay in color?
Did you know that the Clydesdale horse use to be much smaller and shorter?
Did you know that the Clydesdale horse was originally from  Scotland?

Cats Love to Jump

It is a wonder that cats can do all of this stuff and not get hurt. I would probably break my stupid neck. Of course, I couldn't do these stunts in the first place so I am safe.

Hope you enjoy and get a good laugh.

I hope that none of the cats in this video were hurt from the antics they did.

12 Animals of Christmas

This video is a take on the song 12 Days of Christmas but with a twist. I had a hard time understanding most of what the guy said - hope you don't.

Cats Doing Tricks?

In today's "Mel's Video Of The Day" newsletter he featured a video that really stunned me. I don't think that I have ever seen cats doing tricks like other animals can. What a surprise as I watched this video.

Amazing to me. I know cats can do tricks but most of the tricks they do are not learned from any human.

Be sure to check out Mel's site and subscribe to his newsletter. Some great stuff if you like videos.
